The chairman of the Gerindra Party DPD Central Java Province, Sudaryono, is in touch with the local ranks of leaders and administrators of the Muhammadiyah area in Semarang City.

During the meeting, Sudaryono praised Muhammadiyah as one of the models that should be imitated in managing community organizations.

"Muhammadiyah is an organization with a model role model that is imitated by many parties, including Gerindra," said Sudaryono as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 7.

He said Muhammadiyah was one of the successful Central Java in managing educational, health and economic institutions.

"We believe that those who will control the economy in the future will not have mines, but those who have a solid community like Muhammadiyah," he said.

Sudaryono, who was born in Grobogan, Central Java, admitted that he had known Muhammadiyah since studying at the Taruna Nusantara School in Magelang.

"So, actually there has been a slice (of me) with Muhammadiyah for a long time," said Sudaryono.

He also admitted that he was amazed and inspired by what Muhammadiyah had done in the regions.

Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership of Central Java, KH Tafsir, explained the various achievements of the organization.

"In Central Java, Muhammadiyah manages around 1,500 schools outside kindergarten and PAUD," said Tafsir.

Of these, 27 universities, and 12 of them are universities managed by Muhammadiyah. In addition, there are 52 hospitals that have been managed and will increase by three hospitals, bringing the total to 55 hospitals.

"Muhammadiyah Central Java has also managed its own bank, the people's economy bank with current assets of around Rp380 billion," said Tafsir.

In terms of the number of members, about 40 percent of Muhammadiyah residents in Indonesia are in Central Java Province.

Tafsir also proposed several things to Sudaryono, such as the construction of a rendang factory to support the Central Java Muhammadiyah program that manages sacrificial meat in the form of canned rendang.

"This is usually to help disaster victims. However, unfortunately it was made in Bali because in Central Java there was no one," said Tafsir.

In addition to improving the regional economy, it also adds jobs in the province.

Present at the meeting, from the Central Java Muhammadiyah management, among them were elements of the Institute for Wisdom and Public Policy (LHKP), elements of regional leadership, and chairman of the field assembly.
