JAKARTA A total of 25 joint personnel deployed by the Central Jakarta City Government (Jakpus) have brought order to 20 illegal buildings built on a water channel on Jalan Petojo Barat Raya, RT 02/04, North Petojo, Gambir.

The occupied building is considered to be a blockage of waterways, causing flooding and slum areas. Officers consist of the Police, TNI, Satpol PP, Sub-Department of Transportation, Social Sub-Department, Bina Marga Sub-Department, Natural Resources Sub-Department, Environmental Sub-Department and Handling of Public Infrastructure and Facilities (PPSU) Central Jakarta.

Head of North Petojo Village, Dipta Dwi Kusuma said, the existence of 20 buildings that residents have complained about can cause slum areas. In addition, the existence of buildings above the channel can also trigger inundation or flooding. After this control, his party will carry out arrangements in the area. Technically, the arrangement of the area will involve other Regional Apparatus Work Units (UKPDs). "Immediately we will meet and we plan to become the location for the arrangement of the flagship area phase IV," said Dipta.
