MALUKU - The Dandelion Motorboat (KM) crashed into Kroing Pier, East Babar District in Southwest Maluku Regency, Maluku, last Wednesday at around 19:30 WIT. "Please confirm with Syahbandar Kroing or the local sub-district head because so far there has been no official report from the East Babar sub-district head to us," said Head of the MBD District Disaster Management Satlak Jimmy Lico who was contacted from Ambon, Antara, Thursday, June 6. It is not certain why the passenger ship KM Dandelion that sailed the pioneer route in the MBD area could hit Kroing Pier. The incident occurred when KM Dandelion was sailing from Tepa Pier to Kroing. Meanwhile, the Head of East Babar District, Victor Lakburlawar, could not be confirmed by telephone or text message. One of the MBB residents named Olaf said KM Dandelion crashed into Kroing Pier on Wednesday at around 19:30 WIT causing the pier pole to crack and the dock body to shift slightly. "The damage to this dock is certainly very detrimental to us, the people of East Babar, so there needs to be government attention to make improvements," he said.
