The three victims who died were evacuated to the Saifal Anwar Regional General Hospital in Malang City.

Meanwhile, the victims who were injured were taken to Lawang Medika Hospital in Malang Regency for further treatment.

The police are still conducting data collection on the identities of the victims.

Meanwhile, from the statement of the Malang Police Traffic Unit, the truck driver was safe.

Chelvin explained that the accident started when the minibus was traveling north to south on the toll road.

When passing by the crime scene, the minibus hit the back of the six-wheeled truck.

"Because the distance is close and it is suspected that the driver of the minibus is not able to maintain a safe distance, so there is a collision in the back," he said.

The vehicles involved in the traffic accident have been evacuated and secured to the Malang Police Traffic Accident Unit office.

The condition of the microbus accident was severely damaged in the front, where the vehicle's hood had an irregular hole.

In fact, some of the four-wheeled vehicle materials were scattered on a number of sides around the main body of the minibus.

Based on amateur video footage that spread on the Instagram social media, the accident had caused a traffic jam on the north to south side of Km 76.600 A Pandaan-Malang toll road.

A number of police personnel were seen securing the scene and several others were arranging traffic flow.
