JAKARTA - A tronton truck loaded with an iron pipe broke a tire and hit a Busway separator on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Klender Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Tuesday, June 4, afternoon.

The impact of the single accident had caused traffic flow from Cipinang to Buaran and Pondok Kopi to experience congestion up to one kilometer long.

In addition, the TransJakarta bus trip was also disrupted because it could not pass because it was blocked by the truck's body.

Rochman, an officer of the East Jakarta Parks and Forests Sub-dept. (Tamhut) who saw the incident, said that the incident began when a truck was passing to Buaran-Pondok Kopi, East Jakarta.

However, arriving at Klender, the front right tire broke and swayed, causing it to hit the TransJakarta lane barrier.

"The numbers broke, swayed and hit the TransJakarta road divider," Rochman told reporters at the location, Tuesday, June 4.

According to him, the truck driver tried to control his vehicle. The truck stopped across the middle of Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai after hitting the road divider.

"Residents and road users took the initiative to lower some of the cargo to facilitate the evacuation process," he said.

The evacuation process took almost an hour and finally the truck was shifted to the side of the road using a tow truck from the East Jakarta Traffic Unit.
