Puan Asks The Government To Be Transparent About The Reasons For The Chairperson Of The IKN Authority And His Deputy To Resign

JAKARTA - DPR Speaker Puan Maharani asked the government to openly explain the reasons for Bambang Susantono's resignation as Head of the State Capital Authority (IKN), and Donny Raharjoe as deputy.

"The DPR hopes that the government can transparently explain why the chairman and deputy chairman of the IKN authority have resigned," said Puan, Tuesday, June 4.

Puan also hopes that the resignation of the chairman and vice chairman of the IKN authority will simultaneously not hinder the process of implementing the IKN development in the future. Moreover, it affects investors who will invest in IKN.

"Yes, the DPR hopes that what will be conveyed by the government is transparent so that investors will be increasingly not interested in IKN, and the implementation of IKN can run with a target with the government," said the chairman of the PDIP DPP.

Regarding the definitive head of the IKN authority, Puan suggested that the government when we immediately communicate with the next government to determine who is the right person to replace Bambang.

"It is better for the government to now talk to the next government, who will be elected as the definitive head of the upcoming IKN," he concluded.
