JAKARTA - A total of 383 social welfare service providers (PPKS) were caught by the South Jakarta Social Service Sub-dept. (Jaksel) throughout May 2024.

"We have reached as many as 393 PPKS throughout May 2024," said South Jakarta Administrative City Social Service Head Bernard Tambunan in his statement, Monday, June 3.

Bernard detailed, of the hundreds of PPKS that were caught, 79 of them were buskers. Meanwhile, there are 30 beggars and 63 homeless people.

For hawkers there are 4 people, 35 people with mental disorders, 4 people with disabilities, 1 person with special needs, 35 elderly (elderly) displaced, 2 neglected children, 29 non-PPKS people.

"All PPKS are reached by a rapid reaction team that travels around a number of vulnerable points by dividing the morning, afternoon and night. This PPKS-prone point is usually the Fatmawati and CSW areas," he said.
