PDIP Politicians Insinuate IKN Project Too Ambitious, Needs To Call Bandung Bondowoso As Head Of Authority

PDIP politician Deddy Yevri Sitorus said the Capital Nusantara (IKN) project was too ambitious because it set a high target, one of which was completed before the 79th Indonesian Independence Day. Because of his ambition, Deddy likened the IKN project to the Prambanan temple creation project within one night, which was required by Roro Jonggrang to Bandung Bondowoso. "The target time given is too short and ambitious, similar to the Roro Jonggrang-Bandung Bondowoso project," said Deddy Yevri Sitorus to reporters, Monday, June 3. This was conveyed by Deddy in response to the resignation of the Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (IKN) Bambang Susantono and his deputy, Donny Raharjoe. According to Deddy, Bambang did not resign but was'resigned' or fired for failing to meet the target set by President Joko (Jokowi). Moreover, President Jokowi is planned to move before August 16, 2024 and targets to carry out a flag ceremony at IKN during the 79th Indonesian Independence Day. "What I heard was not that it was pushed back, because it was unable to meet the targets given," he said. First, none of the investors have provided certainty to invest in IKN until now. Third, there are too many prohibitions that make construction work run slowly. For example, said Deddy, you can't drill groundwater, only surface water makes the construction process difficult. "You can't cut down trees or change contours, eventually it becomes slow because road access is a fight for contractors who slow down their jobs," said the member of Commission VI of the DPR. Fourth, the Green Construction Company requirements that make contractors 'aligned' because they have to adjust various requirements that slow down work. "The point is that this is too ambitious, complex, both in terms of time, target, process and so on. We need to call Bandung Bondowoso to become chairman of IKN, we can only pursue August," said Deddy. It is known that the Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (IKN) Bambang Susantono and deputy Donny Raharjoe compactly resigned to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The chairman officially bowed after sending a letter to the president some time ago. Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno announced the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono and Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN Raja Juli Antoni to be the Acting Head and Deputy Head of the IKN Authority. Both replace Bambang Susantono and Donny Rahajoe who resigned.
