JAKARTA - President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia was still trying to disrupt the world's "peak meeting of peace" next month for those aimed at discussing war in Ukraine, putting pressure on countries to stay away from the meeting.

The meeting is planned to be held in Switzerland on June 15-16. President Zelensky hopes it can produce a front to pressure Russia and advance a "formula of peace" calling for the withdrawal of Russian troops, as well as the restoration of the Ukrainian border in 1991.

In his evening video address on Wednesday, President Zelensky said "nearly 100 countries and international organizations" are now linked to "global efforts" to resolve the conflict.

"Russia can no longer interfere with the summit even though they are trying hard to do so," President Zelensky said.

"This puts pressure on leaders, publicly threatening various countries with destabilization. And this is one of the consequences of the world that provides too much time to terrorist countries," he continued.

He added that officials from the Government of Ukraine, parliament and other agencies seek to ensure maximum participation and make the summit "completely effective, necessary to bring real peace closer".

Switzerland, which hosted the summit, did not invite Russia. On the other hand, Moscow was reluctant to discuss President Zelensky's proposed peace plan, saying any discussion should consider new realities, including the fact that Russia has controlled about 18 percent of Ukraine.

Separately, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Indonesia had accepted the invitation to attend the meeting in Switzerland.

"Indonesia has accepted the invitation to the Ukraine peace Summit and is in the process of reviewing whether or not it will attend. If it is present, what is Indonesia's position, we are still studying," said RI Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Lalu M. Iqbal in a statement in Jakarta on May 29.
