Flood Areas In Jakarta Expand, RT Inundated Increases To 47

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that RT which was inundated at 10.00 WIB increased to 47 as a result of the overflow of the Ciliwung River and tidal waves (sea pairs).

"The incident has increased from 38 RTs to 47 RTs or 0.154 percent from 30,772 RTs in the DKI Jakarta area," said Head of DKI Jakarta BPBD Isnawa Adji as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, May 25.

The areas inundated are 11 RTs in South Jakarta covering 1 RT in Pengadegan Village with a height of 75 cm, 6 RTs in Rawa Jati Village with an altitude of 80 - 90 cm, 4 RTs in East Pejaten Village with an altitude of 140 cm.

Then 35 RTs in East Jakarta include 4 RTs in Bidara Cina Village with an altitude of 180 cm, 18 RTs in Kampung Melayu Village with an altitude of 30 - 150 cm, 2 RTs in Balekambang Village with an altitude of 60 - 70 cm and 11 RTs in Cawang Village with an altitude of 40 - 280 cm.

The DKI BPBD recorded all the causes of inundation in the area, namely the overflow of the Ciliwung River.

Meanwhile, there is 1 RT in Pluit Village, North Jakarta with a height of 15 cm due to tidal flooding.

On the other hand, there are two RTs that are known to have receded from inundation, namely 1 RT in Penjaringan Village and 1 RT in Pluit Village.

According to BPBD DKI, the rain that hit the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings on Friday (24/5) caused the increase in the status of Katulampa Dam to be on standby 3 (Alert) on Friday (24/5) at 19.16 WIB.
