Medan Mayor Bobby Afif Nasution officially registered as a candidate for governor of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) from the Gerindra Party, on Monday, May 20.
Through the support of Gerindra and a number of other parties, Bobby Nasution is ready to fight in the election for the Governor and Deputy Governor of North Sumatra (Pilgub Sumut) in November 2024.

Bobby admitted that the Gerindra Party provided a lot of input, learning, and knowledge, as well as support during his tenure as mayor of Medan. According to him, the learning and support provided by the Gerindra Party is not only in the political field but rather a commitment in building North Sumatra to be even better.
"This Gerindra is a party that has contributed a lot, for me personally and for us the Medan City Government during my tenure as mayor of Medan. Not only in the political field, a regional commitment, building the country that we really have to hold," he said.
