Hit By Control, Indomaret Wild Jukir Asks The DKI Provincial Government For Work

JAKARTA - The control of illegal parking attendants (Jukir) in a number of minimarkets in East Jakarta by joint officers from the East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept., was complained of by illegal jukir.

They complained that their income from collecting parking fees at minimarkets would be in danger of being lost.

"Actually, I also object. Because I'm not illegal parking, I'm only assigned to the one who owns this place," said Afri, a wild jukir at the Rawamangun minimarket in the Rawamangun area to VOI, Thursday, May 16.

Afri admitted that he did not deposit the parking money's income to anyone. He is purely just looking for daily meals.

"I don't deposit. In fact, Indomaret is the one who deposits to RW (for security)," he said.

Afrinto also admitted that he never insisted when asking for parking money from minimarket visitors.

"If visitors don't give it, I don't ask for it. The results are for me personally. If it is stopped, how do I want to find food. Turnover is threatened with being lost," he said.

Afri hopes that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will provide jobs for former illegal jukir who have been brought under control. Because they chose to become illegal jukir because there was no more work.

Previously, it was reported that joint officers from the East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. (Sudinhub) carried out control of illegal parking attendants (Jukir) in 9 minimarkets in the East Jakarta area on Wednesday, May 15.

The control took place from 09.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB. One by one the minimarkets where there were illegal jukir were visited by joint officers from the Transportation Agency, Satpol PP, TNI and Polri.

However, this control was carried out persuasively, namely the jukir only received a written statement. Officers do not provide a deterrent effect for illegal jukir who often ask for parking money from visitors at minimarkets.

Head of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept., Renny, said that the activities carried out by his party were in the context of controlling illegal jukir at Alfamart, Indomaret and Alfamidi in the East Jakarta area.

"The sanctions are still in the process of being discussed. For this time, we will give a statement to the illegal jukir at Alfamart, Indomaret, and Alfamidi," Renny told VOI at the location, Wednesday, May 15, afternoon.
