Meanwhile, a resident of Panggang Island, Juna, said that he was smoking the floor at his house. He also admitted that he only felt light vibrations when the earthquake occurred.
"It doesn't feel much and it's just shaking the land here," Juna said.
Previously, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) on its official website stated that an earthquake with a magnitude of M5.4 SR had occurred in the Thousand Islands, DKI Jakarta, at 16.42 WIB.
The epicenter of the earthquake was on land 19 km southeast of the Thousand Islands at coordinates 5.84 South Latitude 106.68 East Longitude with a depth of 264 Kilometers and no potential for a tsunami.
