JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) has reopened the selection program for receiving Morocco's Government scholarships for 50 scholarship recipients this year.
"The MORoccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) through the Morocco Embassy annually provides scholarship quotas. This year the number of scholarship quotas given is 50 people through the Ministry of Religion," said Director of Islamic Higher Education at the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia Ahmad Zainul Hamdi in a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday.
Ahmad said the registration of participants in the Morocco Government scholarship acceptance selection program was opened from May 13 to 20, 2024, by registering through the Ministry of Religion's Superapps Heritage which can be downloaded on the PlayStore and AppStore.
This program, he said, aims to screen graduates of Madrasah Aliyah, Diniyah Education Formal Ulya/Mu Education Unit in Indonesia, who are interested in continuing their studies in Morocco.
"The selection of prospective scholarship recipients will be carried out by the National PTKI Language Center Consortium (Islamic Religious Universities)," he said.
Ahmad explained that the selection will begin with document verification. The results of document verification were announced on May 21, 2024, at the same time the registration payment mechanism, which was both announced through the Indonesian Ministry of Religion's Superapps Heritage.
The selection for scholarship admissions for prospective Morocco students, he continued, was carried out through two stages. The first stage, the selection of Arabic skills with a computer test method (CBT) online which will be held on June 1, 2024 from the selected house or location, to be announced on June 4, 2024 through the SuperApps Heritage.
The next stage, continued Ahmad, is an interview of participants who passed the test which was held on June 8-9, 2024, to then be connected with the announcement of the entire selection series on June 13, 2024.
The selection process was carried out at 15 PTKIN including Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, UIN Alauddin Makassar, UIN North Sumatra Medan, UIN Ar Raniry Banda Aceh, and UIN Antasari Banjarmasin.
Furthermore, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, UIN Mataram, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang, UIN Raden Intan Lampung, UIN Walisongo Semarang, and UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi.
