Alvin Lim Regrets Idramayu Regency Government Seals The Panji Gumilang Shipyard

JAKARTA - The sealing of the shipyard belonging to Panji Gumilang has been carried out by the Indramayu Regency Government (Pemkab) since July 20, 2023. The reason is that the shipyard is considered not to have a permit.

However, the sealing was regretted by Panji Gumilang's attorney, Alvin Lim. Because the ships belonging to Panji, later can help the government in overcoming poverty or hunger.

"That's where Pak Panji Gumilang's activities are to feed the students through ships sailing to take fish at sea. What this is doing is helping the government program as well," said Panji Gumilang's attorney, Alvin Lim, to reporters, Monday, May 13.

In fact, continued Alvin, what Panji did was in line with the program of the elected president, Prabowo Subianto.

"We know that Prabowo also has a program to provide free lunch to the public. And he has had that idea for a long time and has been realized by taking fish at sea to be eaten by students and other communities," he said.

Alvin regretted the attitude of the Indramayu Regency Government officials who sealed the shipyard. In fact, what Panji did actually helped the government, including the Indramayu Regency Government.

"But what I regret is that the mentality of Indonesian officials always makes it difficult, making it difficult for Indonesian entrepreneurs and people who want to do good to this country," he said.

Alvin admitted that there was something strange about the attitude of the Indramayu Regency Government which made it difficult for the Panji ship to operate. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the Regency Government is promoting Indramayu fishermen to increase their fish catch, while the construction permit for the ship is even made difficult.

For all of this, Alvin hopes for the help of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to resolve this case. He also asked the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian to reprimand the Regent of Indramayu.

"If possible, please help Mr. President Jokowi. Because this also helps the program that has been initiated by your son, Mas Gibran Rakabuming Raka," said Alvin.
