Jagorawi Toll Road Towards Jakarta Is Crowded, Jasa Marga Implements Contraflow

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) has implemented a coftraflow system to unravel the traffic density on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta. The contraflow will take effect from KM 17+200 to KM 8+800.

Tollroad Regional Division's Senior Manager Representative Office 1 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Singarimbun said that the contraflow system had been in effect since 16.20 WIB on police discretion.

"Contraflow is enforced to unravel densities, as a result of increasing vehicle volume and narrowing lanes at KM 12+300 due to maintenance work on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta," he said in an official statement, Friday, May 10.

Jasa Marga also urges road users to be orderly in their respective lanes. Drivers on the Jakarta to Bogor section are asked to be careful because there is a contraflow.

"Keep your distance safe with the vehicle in front and don't change lanes while crossing the contraflow," he said.

Alvin also said that drivers can anticipate travel routes so that they can optimize the current traffic engineering and ensure the adequacy of electronic card balances before starting the trip to avoid overcrowding when transacting at toll gates.

"It is hoped that road users will always obey traffic signs and follow the directions of officers in the field," he said.
