Regarding The Eradication Of Corruption, Prabowo Asked To Learn From SBY

President Prabowo Subianto was asked to learn from the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) regarding the eradication of corruption that dragged Gerindra Party cadres.

According to LPEKN's economic and political observer, Sasmito Hadinagor, Prabowo must have the heart to take his party cadres to prison if they are involved in a corruption case. This was done by SBY, who did not hesitate to encourage the legal process for the elite Democratic Party involved in corruption cases.

He gave an example, in the case of Wisma Atlet in Hambalang, SBY actually supported the legal process against former Democratic Party Chair Anas Urbaningrum, former Democratic Treasurer Muhammad Nazaruddin, and Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Party Angelina Sondakh.

"Democrats are in power, besan just went to prison. The Democrat Ketum (Anas) was put in prison, that was the SBY era. The Democrat Treasurer (Nazaruddin) went to prison, and wasekjen artist (Angelina) also went to prison during Hambalang's time. Therefore, he asked President Prabowo to keep his promise to eradicate corruption without selective logging, according to his fiery speech in transforming the legal system in Indonesia. "Now is the era of Pak Prabowo who wants to eradicate corruption. Hopefully, Pak Prabowo will be given the strength and courage to eradicate corruption from above," he added.

Sasmito also urged the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to process the law of all members of Commission XI DPR for the 2019-2024 period who were suspected of being involved in the corruption case of Bank Indonesia's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) (BI) funds based on information from two members of the House of Representatives Commission XI 2024-2029, namely Heri Gunawan from the Gerindra Party faction and Satori from the NasDem Party faction which was just examined last week.

"The Bank Indonesia CSR issue should be suspected of involving Commission XI which processes and approves it. Everyone can go to prison, they can go to prison in groups," he said.
