Child Predator In Cengkareng Battered Beaten By Residents

JAKARTA - A battered man was judged by the masses for allegedly harassing six underage boys on Jalan Utama Cengkareng Barat, West Jakarta, Thursday, May 9. The man was arrested after being caught touching children's vital organs while they were playing.

"Suddenly he entered (one of the victims' house), the door was locked, caught. Then his brother (the victim's brother) screamed, finally many people knew," said Subur, the head of the local RT, to reporters in Jakarta, Thursday.

According to Subur, the incident was discovered when the victim's brother shouted at the perpetrator who looked suspicious.

The screams made local residents come to the crime scene (TKP) and interrogated the perpetrators.

"Asked the victim's father, what was he doing there, the reason he (the perpetrator) bought credit," said Subur.

Not accepting the reasons given by the perpetrator, the victim's family was angry. They believe that the perpetrator lied. The reason is, there is no one in the house selling credit and the perpetrator does not have a cellphone.

"This is not true, finally he was told to sit down and take him to the RW post," he continued.

Subur added that the perpetrator was not a local resident and he did not recognize the perpetrator at all.

He also received reports about the alleged perpetrators of sexually harassing six minors.

The perpetrator even said that he had twice abused a minor which caused one of the victims to have difficulty urinating.

"Look at all (victims), got information that his grandfather had a report with me that his grandson couldn't urinate. If he had two incidents with the same person," explained Subur.

When confirmed separately, the Head of the Cengkareng Police, Kompol Hasoloan Situmorang, said that the case was being handled by the West Jakarta Metro Police.

"It is being handled by the Resort Police," said Hasoloan.

Meanwhile, the Head of Women and Children Protection (PPA) of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Reliana, confirmed that his party was processing the case.

"Yes, we are in the process," said Reliana.
