Mother Of Suspect In Child Murder Case In Bekasi Experiences Mental Disorder

BEKASI Bekasi Metro Police detained SNF, the mother of the suspect in the murder of a 5-year-old biological child, AM (5) because she has a mental disorder. The police even said that SNF had been treated at RSJ Grogol, West Jakarta. And he reportedly injured himself.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bekasi Metro Police, AKBP Muhammad Firdaus, explained that SNF had to be taken into custody and treated to the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta for trying to hurt himself when he was detained on March 9, 2024, then.

"Because it endangers ourselves so that his detention is taken to be treated or referred to a Police hospital which is handled by doctor Dedy Aji," Firdaus told reporters, Wednesday, May 8.

After treatment, SNF was transferred to RSJ Dr. Suharto Heerdjan, Grogol, West Jakarta, to confirm the suspect's psyche.

"Then during 16 days of treatment at the Police Hospital, the SNF suspect was again referred to the mental hospital in Grogol. Namely RSJ Dr. Suharto Heerdjan," he continued.

Furthermore, SNF is currently in good condition. So that the Bekasi City Metro Police picked him up again to make arrests.

"For 11 days he was treated there, the hospital officers informed investigators that the SNF suspect could be picked up in a stable condition. From that basis, investigators picked up the suspect and brought him back to the Resort Police," he concluded.

A 5-year-old boy was allegedly killed by his biological mother with the initials SNF in the North Bekasi area. From the results of the crime scene (TKP), dozens of stab wounds were found on the boy's body.

"From the results of the crime scene, it was found that the victim was stabbed several times and which was suspected that the perpetrator was the biological mother of the victim," said the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police to reporters in Bekasi, Thursday, March 7.

In addition, from the results of the preliminary examination, dozens of scars were found on the victim's body. The wound was caused by a knife stabbed by his biological mother.

Currently, the body of the 5-year-old boy has been taken to the hospital. Later, the team of doctors will autopsize the body.

"The victim has been taken to Bhayangkara Hospital for a post-mortem or autopsy," he said.

"As for the results of the interim post-mortem examination, there were about 20 stab wounds on his body," he continued.
