JAKARTA - Congestion along Jalan Pramuka Raya is increasingly snaking to the intersection of Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani, Rawamangun, East Jakarta. This congestion continues to occur almost every day.

Starting from the fast lane section of four-wheeled vehicles which has narrowed due to the eroded LRT development project in the Genjing Market area, then there is a Scout train crossing and the rampant illegal parking of four-wheeled vehicles or cars in front of the Scout Drug Market, Palmeriam Village, Matraman.

This condition makes the access section of Jalan Pramuka which is crossed by vehicles continue to narrow until cars that want to lead to the Pramuka train crossing have to queue. Moreover, many extortion practices "Pak Ogah" often take advantage of congestion situations.

Transportation Observer, Azas Tigor Nainggolan responded to traffic jams and illegal parking practices on road bodies that often occur in the Pramuka area, Matraman, East Jakarta.

"It's illegal parking around in front of the Scout Market, making it difficult and more traffic jams. Even though there is the construction of the 1B Phase Jakarta LRT there. It must be put in order immediately," said Azas when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, May 8.

Azas also criticized the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Satpol PP and the Police to immediately cooperate in solving illegal parking problems and arresting illegal jukir so as not to cause traffic jams.

"It should be parked on the road around the Jakarta LRT project, along Jalan Pramuka is cleaned to help smooth local traffic. The Transportation Agency, Satpol PP and the Police must take firm action against illegal parking in front of the Pramuka Market," he said.
