BANJARMASIN - Investigators from the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police confiscated a number of luxury cars belonging to the suspect FN (27), a fraudulent investment dealer for diesel fuel.

"Yes, all vehicles belong to FN," said Director of General Criminal Investigation of the South Kalimantan Police Kombes Erick Frendriz in Banjarmasin as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 6.

Based on observations, the row of cars confiscated at the South Kalimantan Police Headquarters yard was given a police line, including a Mini Cooper car with police number B 333 ABS and a Mercedes Benz C 300 B 3 ABS sedan, which costs more than one billion rupiah on the market.

Then there are also Alphard and Honda Brio cars as well as two diesel fuel tanker trucks belonging to the suspect FN.

Erick explained that the confiscation of assets belonging to a fraudulent investment suspect was part of the investigation process to collect evidence of the proceeds of a crime or a means of committing a crime.

So far, the handling of cases of alleged fraud and embezzlement of fuel investment continues and the case files are still being investigated by the Prosecutor's Office.

"The file has been sent to the prosecutor, if it is declared complete or P21, then the suspect and evidence will be handed over," explained Erick.

The case of investment in fuel involving Bhayangkari (wife of a police officer) from 2019 to 2023 resulted in victims' losses reaching more than Rp39 billion.

64 victims have reported since the opening of the complaint post for the BBM investment case at the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police.
