JAKARTA Rejecting the operation of the TransJakarta 10M bus, a number of angkot drivers broke down on Jalan Tipar Cakung, North Jakarta, Monday, May 6. They objected to the TransJakarta bus operating towards Pulo Gadung-Tanjung Priok.

"We summoned the two parties to mediate and maintain order. We also made traffic arrangements so that there would be no traffic jams because of the action," said Cilincing Police Chief Kompol Fernando Saharta Saragi, Antara, Monday, May 6.

He said the strike was carried out because the TransJakarta bus returned to operation on Monday morning.

According to him, on Friday, April 29, he mediated between the Management of the Wahana Kalpika Cooperative (KWK) 03 and the Bemo Replacement Transport (APB) 01 with the Fleet of 10M TransJakarta.

For the time being, the results of the meeting, the TransJakarta bus will not operate until there is a next meeting.

"However, on Monday morning the TransJakarta bus operates without any meeting in accordance with the meeting at the Mayor of North Jakarta," he said.

This made KWK 03 drivers go on strike by closing the two-way road of Jalan Tipar Cakung.

The police advised both parties to hold a meeting again by inviting all related elements, including Haji Ramli as the owner of the KWK fleet.

Then the TransJakarta fleet agreed to hold a meeting again and the KWK public transportation returned to operation and the TransJakarta bus temporarily did not go through the Pulo Gadung-Tanjung Priok route waiting for the socialization first to KWK 03 and APB 01.

"At 09.15 WIB the spontaneous action of KWK 03 drivers dispersed and they operated as usual," he said.
