Gerindra Denies There Is A Problem Of Meeting: Prabowo Becomes Elected President Also Thanks To PKS Prayers

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, denied any psychological obstacles due to the meeting between PKS and the elected President, Prabowo Subianto has not been implemented. He considered that the problem was only technical problems.

Habiburokhman even mentioned Prabowo's election as president at this time thanks to the party's prayers that had supported him in the 2014 and 2019 presidential elections.

"We have been supported by PKS 2014 and 2019. So Pak Prabowo is currently the elected president, it's thanks to the prayer of our friends at PKS too, right?," said Habiburokhman, Monday, May 6.

Recently, PKS Secretary General Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi opened up opportunities for his party to join the Prabowo-Gibran government. PKS also planned a meeting with Prabowo but it has not yet been realized.

"2014, 2019 Habib Aboe prays for Pak Prabowo to become president and that prayer is not necessarily answered at the time when he prays, it could be granted a few years later," said the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR.

Nevertheless, Habiburokhman emphasized that Gerindra still respects PKS in the context of friendship. He did not deny that PKS also had a big role until Prabowo became president at this time.

"In a bigger context, as stated by Pak Prabowo, we want to prioritize politics to embrace. PKS is certainly one of the important elements in this nation, one of the 9 parties, which we really have to embrace. I think technically it's easy, later when there will be a meeting, friends will be updated," he concluded.
