Zulhas Names Eko Patrio Prabowo Cabinet Minister Candidate, PAN Politician: He's Senior

JAKARTA - PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) mentioned the name of his cadre, Eko Hendro Purnomo alias Eko Patrio as a candidate for cabinet minister of the Prabowo government Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Confirming the news, the Chairman of the DPP PAN Saleh Partaonan Daulay considered it very appropriate for Eko to be nominated as a minister. Because according to him, Eko is a qualified senior politician and has experience.

"Eko Patrio is a senior politician. He has served in the DPR for three terms, now he has been re-elected for the fourth term. From an experience perspective, Mas Eko is worthy and qualified to become a minister," said Saleh, Monday, May 6. Saleh then revealed Eko Patrio's achievements as Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PAN DPW. Among them, PAN managed to get 10 DPRD seats and 3 seats in the DPR RI for the DKI Jakarta electoral district.

With his persistence and seriousness in leading, Saleh considered that it was not wrong if Zulhas gave Eko the opportunity to serve as Prabowo's minister.

"He is my secretary in the PAN faction. Many tasks in the DPR have been successfully carried out. Yes, it is appropriate for Ketum Zulhas to name him as a ministerial candidate," said the chairman of the PAN faction in the DPR.

Nevertheless, Saleh asked all parties to wait for Prabowo to develop his government cabinet. PAN, he said, did not want to precede the president regarding the composition of his cabinet, let alone Eko Patrio's position. "There must be a position where Mas Eko is very powerful. So, is that position offered to PAN? We'll just wait. Don't be in a hurry," said Saleh. Previously, PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan called Eko Patrio a ministerial candidate. This was conveyed by Zulhas when alluding to several PAN cadres who have the potential to run in the Jakarta Pilkada.

"If there is a Zita Jakarta, there is Pasha, there is Eko, but Eko is a ministerial candidate," Zulhas told reporters in the SCBD area, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta, Sunday, May 5.

When asked about the ministerial position that Eko Patrio would hold, Zulhas did not want to elaborate. He only said that politics is dynamic. "Oh yes, we'll see later, politics is dynamic," he said.
