Road Raya Di Provinsi Guangdong China Selatan Amblas: 19 Orang Tewas, 31 Dirawat

JAKARTA - At least 19 people were killed and 31 others injured and hospitalized after the highway in South China's Guangdong Province collapsed. The China Central Television (CCTV) report stated that the unfortunate incident took place at around 02.10 local time (18.10GMT, Tuesday) on the toll road from Guangdong Province to Fujian Province. "A total of 18 cars are trapped under the rubble," the Chinese state-owned broadcaster was quoted as saying via Sputnik, Wednesday, May 1. Meanwhile, the injured victims who were taken to the hospital were said to have not experienced life-threatening risks.

Firefighters and rescue teams are still evacuating at the scene and traffic on the highway has been closed, as reported.
