Semarang Empty House Thief Gang Arrested, Perpetrators Arrested In Bogor And Bandung

Semarang - Polrestabes Semarang, Central Java, arrested three members of a cross-provincial thief gang that targeted empty houses left by their owners. Semarang Police Chief Kombes Pol Irwan Anwar said the perpetrators were arrested after acting in two houses in the Mijen area, Semarang City. The three perpetrators were S and H residents of Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, as well as WWP residents of Tugu, Semarang City. "This WWP is a recidivist for the same crime," said Irwan, quoted by ANTARA Tuesday, May 21. According to him, the robbery incident carried out by the gang was carried out on May 13, 2024. "The perpetrators had previously been circling to find the house that was their target," he continued. Last night, the gang acted in two targets at once. The gang took a number of items, such as a jinjing computer, cameras, and cash.

He said the three perpetrators were arrested in two different locations, namely in Bandung and Bogor. For their actions, the three suspects were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft. Related to this, he appealed to residents who want to travel and leave their homes within a certain period of time to report to the local RT or security management as well as to the police.
