Refused To Join Prabowo's Coalition, PKS Reply Gelora: A Healthy Opposition

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) has responded to the Gelora Party's refusal to join the government coalition Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming. PKS reminded that being outside the government or the opposition was also healthy. The reply was conveyed by the Chairman of the PKS DPP Mardani Ali Sera in a video with his wife who is also a PKS cadre, Siti Oniah. "What is the coalition position? Ha-ha-ha," said Mardani in a video uploaded on his Instagram, Monday, April 29. Siti then answered Mardani and satirized the party that refused to join the PKS to join the government. Siti felt sorry that the party did not qualify for Parliament. "Oh, yes, hear the news that rejects PKS for the coalition. Oh, thank you, what party is that? You don't pass PT, you're afraid to be overtaken, masyaallah tabarakallah. Zero comma," said Siti. Mardani is of the view that the proposal for the program owned by PKS and the General Chair of the Gelora Party, Anis Matta is different. "The proposal is that Mas Anis is different, and his vision is different," he said. Personally, Mardani admitted that he chose to remain outside the government. Because according to him, being an opposition can keep the government working for the people. "For me, the opposition, it's healthy, we all take care of the government so that we really work for the people," said Mardani. Previously, the Gelora Party rejected PKS, which reportedly wanted to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government. Gelora also brought up the view of PKS supporters if they decided to support Prabowo-Gibran. "What do his fanatical supporters say? It seems that there is a division of attitude between the PKS elite and its supporters," said Secretary General of the Gelora Party Mahfuz Sidik in his statement, Monday, April 29.

Mahfuz then mentioned about PKS which always plays its ideological narrative against the government. Including the candidate pair number 2 in the 2024 presidential election process yesterday. "As far as I remember, during the campaign process, many PKSs appeared very ideological narratives in attacking the figure of Prabowo."
