JAKARTA - Young singer Allequa Perucha will launch his latest musical work entitled "Eternal Melody" on various digital music platforms on Friday, August 7.

The release of this single marks Allequa's consistent step in planting his spurs in the Indonesian music industry through the alternative rock genre that he wrote and developed himself.

Through "Eternal Melody", Allequa highlights an alternative rock arrangement that is thick with pop touches, which he considers the most powerful and honest medium to express the turmoil of emotions and the energy of love to the listener.

"Eternal Melody" contains messages about devotion and love. Allequa packs the meaning of love broadly, not just romantic relationships, but includes ties with family, friends, and dedication to ideals.

"The lyrics of the song are about devotion and love. It's not just romantic love, but love can also be for brothers, for family, for your own passion," said Allequa when met in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Tuesday, August 4.

This song is personal for Allequa, because the creative process is rooted in imagination and the story of the character he made up himself before being drawn into the reality of his experience. However, the process of composing the song from the beginning to the end is recognized as presenting its own challenges.

"It's hard, harder than I thought. I feel the pain and difficulties that a musician has to go through. And from there, it's the journey that makes it so much more meaningful," said the 19-year-old.

Musically, Allequa fully controls the song-making process by writing the lyrics in full, filling in the main vocals, background vocals, and playing bass.

Vocal coaching was guided by IrvNat and recorded at Backbeat Jakarta Studio. Meanwhile, the development of instruments and music programming was entrusted to Andreas Arianto who was recorded at Antida Bali Studio.

"I asked Kak Andreas for help with the arrangement. The melody and lyrics I made myself, then I asked Kak Andreas, 'Please make the arrangement, more rock and all sorts?' Then from there because we really like the same genre, we finally selected, and created something bigger than what I originally planned," said Allequa.

Through the launch of the latest single, "Eternal Melody", it is hoped that it will enrich the Indonesian music treasury, as well as proving Allequa Perucha's capacity as a progressive young musician.
