JAKARTA - Ariana Grande has confirmed that she will take a break from the stage after completing her world tour series for the album "Eternal Sunshine" in early September.

In front of thousands of fans who watched his performance in Chicago, United States, the 31-year-old singer confirmed that the decision to take a break was not taken in a hurry or influenced by negative public pressure, but rather part of a plan that had been prepared for a long time.

"Sometimes when a story comes up that doesn't come directly from me, things can get a little exaggerated. So I just wanted to speak directly to my fans tonight because I love you so much. The announcement made yesterday was not a reactive or impulsive thing," Grande said, quoted by Variety, Wednesday, August 5.

Furthermore, he emphasized that this step was taken with full awareness. The singer who has just released a new album titled "Petal" dismissed concerns that the public's negative narrative was the main reason behind his decision to step back from the media spotlight.

"This is something I have decided to plan for and have been making quietly for a long time, and it is a decision taken from a place of wisdom and power," Grande said.

"I want you to know that many things can be true at the same time. I hear fans are worried that negative things ruin everything for me, but I have to say that's completely not true," he continued.

Grande also highlighted the importance of maintaining mental health and setting personal boundaries in maintaining a balance of life in the midst of the high spotlight of the entertainment industry.

"Yes, boundaries need to be set. Humans sometimes need a pause. And also, this could and will continue to be the greatest experience of my professional and creative life. No matter what rumors are out there, nothing can change the reality or the love we share together," Grande added.

Previously, Ariana Grande's official representative confirmed that the artist would reduce public appearances after the Eternal Sunshine tour officially ended on September 1 at the O2 Arena, London, England.
