KPU Claims To Have Sent Invitations To Determination Of Elected Presidents To Ganjar-Mahfud

Commissioner of the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) Idham Holik claims to have sent an invitation letter for the appointment of the president and vice president elected for the 2024 General Election to all presidential and vice-presidential candidates. Delivery is carried out using two methods, namely an official invitation letter in physical form or via electronic mail (e-mail). This is in response to the confession of Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD who did not receive an invitation from the KPU. That is why the presidential and vice-presidential candidates number 3 of the 2024 General Election were not present in the determination of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as presidents and vice presidents elected. "In sending the letter of invitation to the kpu using two methods, namely conventional methods, where the invitation letter in physical form or hardcopi was handed over directly by the letter delivery officer. Second, using the digital or internet method where the KPU sent softcopy of the invitation letter via messenger or by email," Idham told reporters, quoted Thursday, April 25. Idham also claimed to have communicated with the naradamping or liquid officer (LO) of the Ganjar-Mahfud team to ensure that the letter reached the candidate pair. "Likewise, other commissioners also communicate with candidate pairs, both 1, 2, and 3 to ensure that the invitation has been submitted. With the two methods, we make sure the invitation letter has been submitted," he explained. Previously, Ganjar admitted that he had just found out that he was invited to the appointment which was held at the KPU Building, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Central Jakarta on D-days, Wednesday, April 24. As a result, he could not attend because he was in Yogyakarta. Likewise, Mahfud MD, who said that he did not receive an invitation from the KPU to attend the presidential and vice-presidential candidates for Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. He only found out that he was invited when confirmed by telephone. "I don't know if there is an invitation, just half an hour before the event starts, there is a notification via this phone, Mr. to the KPU no, what I said, so I continue to know the event.
