Arrest 2 Perpetrators Of Ranmor, Baruga Kendari Police Secure 18 Motorcycles

The Baruga Police, Kendari Police, confiscated 18 stolen motorbikes in the Kendari City area, Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra), and arrested two of the perpetrators. The head of the Baruga Police, AKP RJ Agung Pratomo, said that the two perpetrators of the theft were arrested in two different locations on April 14 and 15, 2024. Disclosure began when the arrest of the first suspect in the Konda District, South Konawe Regency (Konsel). From the suspect's mouth, investigators developed a case and succeeded in arresting other suspects in Baruga District, Kendari City. "From the results of the arrests of the two people, we confiscated 18 stolen motorbikes," he said when met in Kendari, Antara, Monday, April 22. RJ Agung explained that the 18 motorbikes were obtained in a warehouse where the stolen goods were stored in the Alebo area, Konda and Panggaluku sub-districts, Konsel Regency. "Some of the motorbikes have been sold," explained RJ Agung. He revealed that the two suspects were a different motorcycle theft gang, where when they acted with each of their different colleagues. "Currently, the other perpetrators are still being chased by the police," he said. RJ Agung said that from the results of the interrogation of the perpetrators, it was known that they had been in action since 2023 on stolen motorbikes, which were sold for Rp. 1 million to Rp. 2 million per unit.

"For their actions, the two suspects were charged with Article 363 Paragraph (1) 4 of the Curanmor Crime, with a maximum sentence of 7 years in prison," said RJ Agung. He emphasized that his party is committed to taking firm action against all crimes or crimes that occur in the jurisdiction of the Baruga Police to provide a sense of security and comfort to the entire community.
