TNI Soldiers Help Maintenance Pakistan-Owned Helicopters

JAKARTA - TNI soldiers who are members of the United Nations maintenance force in Central Africa (Minusca) helped deploy two of his heavy equipment for the maintenance of helicopters belonging to the Pakistani military.

The TNI Information Center in its official broadcast in Jakarta, Saturday, April 20, conveyed that the Task Force (Satgas) of the TNI contingent of the Garuda XXXVII-J Minusca Contingent deployed not only two heavy equipment, namely cranes and forklifts, but also some of the soldiers.

The Commander of the Task Force (Dansatgas) Kizi TNI Konga XXXVII-J Minusca Lt. Col. Czi Ibnu Vomika said the assistance was a form of inter-contingent cooperation that both served as UN maintenance forces in the Central African Republic.

"Keep maintaining security and safety factors, both personnel and materials that work, carry out the assistance as much as possible, immediately report if there are obstacles in implementation," said Lt. Col. Ibnu Vomika to his personnel involved in maintaining the helicopter belonging to the Pakistan Aviation contingent, quoted from Antara, Saturday, April 20.

In the process, which took place since Thursday 18 April, the heavy equipment belonging to the TNI was operated by TNI soldiers led by Marine Captain Engga Fasha, who served as the Pleton Commander for the Assistance of the XXXVII-J Minusca TNI Kizi Task Force. The Dansatgas explained that the TNI Engineer Contingent Task Force was asked for assistance to be involved in the maintenance of the helicopter because apart from TNI troops who do have the equipment, it is also because TNI soldiers from the Zeni Contingent are known to be experienced and have the ability to operate heavy equipment.

The reason, he said, the maintenance of helicopters is not an easy job because it requires a high level of precision and accuracy.

At FACA Military Air Base, Mpoko International Airport, Bangui, the heavy equipment belonging to the TNI helps transport and transfer helicopters whose conditions will be re-checked. Routine maintenance and maintenance of defense equipment is one of the routine agendas carried out by each contingent while serving as a peacekeeping force in Central Africa.

The UN Peacekeeping force in the Central African Republic, whose official name is the UN Mission for Integrated Multidimensional Stabilization in the Central African Republic (Minusca) has been operating in the country since September 15, 2014.

Shortly after, the Indonesian Government in October 2014 immediately formed the Garuda Contingent Zeni Contingent Task Force for the Peace Maintenance Mission in the Central African Republic. Since October 2014, Indonesia has routinely sent TNI soldiers to serve with UN peacekeeping forces in the Central African Republic.

The Garuda XXXVIII-J Minutesca Contingent Task Force (Satgas Kizi) has started their mission since 2023. A total of 215 soldiers joined the Task Force consisting of 22 officers, 50 non-commissioned officers, and 143 main officers.

In the troops, there were also three female TNI soldiers from three dimensions, namely one soldier from the Indonesian Army Women's Corps (Kowad), one soldier from the Indonesian Navy Women's Corps (Kowal), and one soldier from the Indonesian Air Force (Wara) Women.
