Tika Bravani Introduces the Acting World to Children, But Does Not Want to Force Him to Be an Artist

JAKARTA - Actress Tika Bravani has her own way of introducing the world of acting to her child. Through the musical theater performance Fantasy Land, Tika feels helped in explaining the profession she has been doing for a long time to her child through direct experience.

"I want my child to know acting, what I do. What is it like, what is it like. Well, this is the perfect moment to make him feel, 'Oh, theater is fun, huh'," said Tika Bravani in Central Jakarta, Saturday, July 18.

Tika was proud to see her son so enthusiastic and integrated with the storyline presented on stage.

"My son even got involved with the story. He can connect it with a light story but also has an educational meaning. So it's really okay," he explained again.

For Tika, Fantasy Land is not just a visual entertainment, but an effective medium to sharpen children's imagination.

"The main thing is cool. He entered his imagination, and then the concept of the colors and costumes is totally complete," added the wife of Dimas Aditya.

Seeing her son enjoying the performance, Tika admitted that she did not rule out bringing her children back if a similar performance was held again.

"If there is another Fantasy Land performance, watch it, bring the kids too," he said.

When asked if he had a desire for his son to follow in his footsteps into the entertainment world, Tika admitted that he was reluctant to impose his will.

"Bebasin sih. Sekarang mah dia main aja dulu. Kalau emang tertarik ya ayo, kalau enggak ya enggak usah maksa. Sekolah aja dulu yang penting," tegas Tika.

Seeing the enthusiasm of the little audience, Tika hopes that in the future, the children's theater stage in Indonesia can be upgraded to a larger scale.

"I hope it's on a bigger stage, so that it's more satisfying. Because of all the concepts, the players are all total," he said.

Joane Win as the writer of the script and producer of the musical theater Fantasy Land Regina welcomed Tika's desire. He agreed that the interaction between actors and children is the key to the success of children's theater.

"The performance space we want to provide is a performance space that wants to interact with the audience, especially children. Because it is a children's story," explained Joane.

Joane also emphasized the importance of giving children freedom of expression when watching theater.

"Giving children space to express themselves to the stories we give them," added Joane.
