JAKARTA - Thousands of joint masses from students and the community held a demonstration regarding the results of the 2024 General Election at the horse statue, Monas area, Gambir District, Central Jakarta, Thursday, April 18, afternoon.

During the demonstration, the participants also made a theatrical action by demonstrating several people wearing masks with pictures of the face of the PDI-P Secretary General, Hasto Kristiyanto, carrying chains, which tied the necks of two men with masks on the faces of Constitutional Court Justices (MK) Saldi Isra and Arief Hidayat.

The theatrical action of a man wearing a mask on the face of the PDI-P Secretary General, Hasto Kristiyanto, pulled two chains which were followed by two judges of the Constitutional Court. He walked slowly turning in the demonstration area.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro said his party had deployed 3,643 joint TNI personnel, Polri assisted by Pol PP and Dishub to secure demonstrations at the Monas horse statue.

"Personnel involved in security must always act persuasively, not provoked, prioritize negotiations, services and humaneism," he said.
