3,643 Joint Personnel Standby For Action Security For The Results Of The 2024 Presidential Election At Monas

A total of 3,643 joint personnel from the TNI, Polri, Satpol PP and the Transportation Service were alerted to secure a demonstration in the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta, Thursday afternoon, April 18.

"We have deployed 3,643 joint TNI personnel, Polri assisted by Pol PP and Dishub which will later be divided into several security points around Monas," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro in Jakarta.

According to information, the demonstration was related to disputes over the results of the general election (PHPU) or disputes over the 2024 presidential election.

Meanwhile, regarding traffic engineering, Susatyo said it was situational or conditional in the field.

According to Susatyo, if traffic diversion is carried out, people who will pass around the Monas area are expected to find alternative roads.

"If necessary, traffic diversion will be carried out, so we urge people who will pass around Monas to find other alternative roads because there will be action to convey opinions," he said.

He reminded anyone who would express opinions in public, as regulated in the law, conveying the opinion of the rights of every citizen, must pay attention to other public rights, so that the rules are please obey so that all activities run safely and conducively.

"Don't forget to all personnel involved in security to always act persuasively, not provoked, prioritize negotiations, services and humaneism," he said.
