JAKARTA - One resident suffered injuries to his head during a fire incident in a densely populated residential area of Jalan Kemayoran Gempol, RT 09/03, Kebon Blank Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta.

For further treatment, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment for the injuries he found.

"There was one victim of injuries from residents. The head was injured and taken to Hermina Kemayoran Hospital," said Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Asril Rizal when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, April 17.

Currently, the flames have been extinguished by 75 firefighters.

"The alleged cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit from one of the residents' houses. In total there were 4 houses burned with an area of 100 square meters. The object burned was a semi-permanent building," he said.

As a result of the fire, the owner of the house suffered a loss of around Rp. 150 million rupiah. The four houses that were burned down were inhabited by 5 families with 16 people.

"The fire started thought to have come from one of the residents' houses. The fire was seen from the middle room and smoke rose into the air," he said.

Meanwhile, the fire was extinguished at around 15:18 WIB. Currently, Asril stated that the fire extinguishing process had been completed.

Previously, it was reported that a semi-permanent building in a densely populated residential area of Jalan Kemayoran Gempol, RT 09/03, Kebon Blank Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta, was destroyed by the red rooster on Wednesday, April 17, afternoon.

Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Sudin Gulkarmat) officers who arrived at the location were still struggling to extinguish the fire.

The fire incident occurred at around 13.20 WIB. Then residents reported it to the nearest fire post.
