The road users have to wait for the vehicle to pass alternately for 20 minutes while waiting for the officer's direction. This was said by a road user from Jakarta who wanted to vacation in various tourist destinations in Pesisir Barat Regency. "It's been waiting for about five minutes and indeed because it alternates with other drivers who have passed first, they have to wait about 20 minutes to pass," said Faizal in West Lampung, Antara, Sunday, April 14. He hopes that the landslide road will be repaired soon to smooth the flow of traffic, especially during the Eid al-Fitr 2024 holiday period. "Hopefully it will be handled soon, especially since this is the Eid holiday period, some have gone from Liwa to Krui and vice versa. Then it's already the tourist season also on the West Coast," he said. Previously, the Lampung National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) asked travelers from national road users to anticipate 41 disaster-prone points along the national road during the Lebaran 2024 homecoming period. Based on the data collected, the total for disaster-prone points on national roads is 41 points, with 13 flood-prone points and 28 landslide-prone points, one of which is on the Liwa-Krui West Cross national road or the Liwa-Simpang Gunung Kemala City section, namely KM 248+150, KM 248+300, KM 250+750, KM 249+200, KM 266+900, KM 270+450, KM 270+250, KM 268+800, KM 267+750, and KM 263+100.

To overcome landslides that blocked roads, DRU (Disaster Relief Unit) has been prepared, namely heavy equipment that is alerted at each post. These heavy equipment include excavators, dump trucks, vibro rollers, mobile cranes, and graders.
