JAKARTA - At least 17 people were killed and 50 injured after a truck carrying pilgrims plunged into a ravine in Batopistan District, Pakistan, Wednesday night.
According to state media, the accident occurred while a truck was on its way from Thatta City, Sindh Province, headed to a temple in Khuzdar City.
The local media report, as reported by Anadolu, Friday, April 12, said that the injured victims had been rushed to a local hospital.
A number of Pakistani leaders such as the Chairman of the Minister of Blochistan Sarfraz Bugti, Asif Zardari President and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed their condolences to the families of the victims.
