Vehicle Priority Down, Bogor Peak Exit Access Temporarily Closed

PT Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad, on discretion from the Police, has temporarily closed Puncak exit access at KM 46+400 of the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Puncak Bogor on Thursday, starting at 12.05 WIB.

Road users can currently use Ciawi's exit access at KM 47 of the Jagorawi Toll Road as an alternative. In addition, for the discretion of the Police, road users are also advised to comply with the "contraflow" system which is still in effect from the Ciawi Toll Gate to KM 44+500 to KM 46+500 of the Jagorawi Toll Road. This contraflow system has been in effect since 06.15 WIB until now in response to the increase in vehicle volume towards the Puncak area.

Senior Manager of Representative Office 1 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division, Alvin AnditUALahtap Singarimbun, said that this traffic control step was a response to increasing vehicle volume on the second day of Eid al-Fitr 1445 H, which is usually colored by climate traffic and tourism, especially on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Puncak.

"In addition, the Police Discretion is still being applied after the Ciawi Toll Gate starts from KM 44+500 to KM 46+500 for the Jagorawi Toll Road. This contraflow has been in effect since 06.15 WIB until now the impact of increasing the volume of vehicles to the Puncak area," said Senior Manager Representative Office 1 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division Alvin Andituajat Singarimbun in Jakarta, Thursday.

Road users are advised to anticipate travel directions and maintain a safe distance with the vehicle ahead. It is also recommended to monitor travel routes so that they can optimize applicable traffic engineering and ensure adequate electronic card balance before starting the trip to avoid overcrowding when transacting at toll gates.

Road users are asked to always obey traffic signs and follow the directions of officers in the field for smooth travel.

Previously, 1,564,278 vehicles had left the Jabotabek area in the period D-7 to H1 of Eid al-Fitr 1445 H/2024, or in the period 3-10 April 2024. This includes traffic flow from the four Barrier/Utama Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (direction to Merak), GT Ciawi (direction to Puncak), GT Cikampek Utama (direction to Trans Java), and GT Kalihurip Utama (direction to Bandung).
