BSI Approves Dividend Distribution Of IDR 855.56 Billion, Distribution Of Shares Gets IDR 18.54

JAKARTA - Shareholders of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) decided to distribute cash dividends of 15 percent of the net profit for the 2023 financial year or IDR 855.56 billion. This amount is equivalent to IDR 18.54 per share.

In the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS), BSI Finance and Strategy Director Ade Cahyo Nugroho said the amount of this dividend was double compared to the previous year. Where in 2022 it is IDR 9 per share.

"BSI is committed to distributing dividends that are even more interesting in the future," he said, quoting Antara.

Meanwhile, BSI President Director Hery Gunardi explained that 20 percent of net profit or IDR 1.14 trillion will be set aside as mandatory reserves.

"And 65 percent or Rp. 3.70 trillion (from net profit) is used as retained earnings balance," said Hery.

In the AGMS, the company also approved the Annual Report and Supervision Report of the Board of Commissioners and Ratification of the Company's Financial Statements for the financial year ending on December 31, 2023.

This includes granting full release and payment of responsibility to all members of the Board of Directors and members of the Board of Commissioners in connection with the management and supervision of the company which has been carried out during the financial year ending on December 31, 2023, as long as the activity is reflected in the Annual Report.

Throughout 2023, BSI posted a net profit of IDR 5.70 trillion or grew 33.88 percent year on year (yoy) compared to the previous year.

The company recorded that the amount of financing disbursed reached IDR 240.32 trillion throughout 2023, or grew 15.70 percent (yoy) with gross quality financing (NPF) improving at 2.08 percent.

Meanwhile, the composition of the disbursed financing is dominated by the consumer segment (54.32 percent), wholesale (28.09 percent) and retail (17.58 percent).
