Jokowi Kembali Lantik Buwas Jadi Ketua Kwarnas Pramuka 2023-2028

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo inaugurated Komjen (Ret.) Budi Waseso or Buwas as Chairman of the National Kwartir (Kwarnas) of the Scout Movement for the 2023-2028 service period.

Previously, the former Director of Perum Bulog became the Chair of the Scout Kwarnas since 2018. Buwas and the Scout Kwarnas management were confirmed at the State Palace in Jakarta today.

Before inaugurating the chairman and member of the Kwarnas board, President Jokowi first asked questions and willingness to serve according to the contents of Law Number 12 of 2010 concerning the Scout Movement.

After hearing the answer to the willingness of the chairman and member of the Kwarnas board, President Jokowi guided the reading of the Tri Satya Scout Promise.

"Furthermore, hold the end of the Red and White flag with your right hand and place it on your left chest near the heartbeat as a sign that as long as your heart is still beating, you will always remember the duties and obligations of the Scout Movement," said President Jokowi while inviting the chairman and management to read Tri Satya.

The inauguration ceremony was continued with the embedding of the position of Chairman of the Scout Kwarnas by President Jokowi to Budi Waseso.

Then, Budi Waseso led the reading of the pledge of the chairman and members of the Kwarnas Pramuka board.

Budi Waseso was again confirmed as Chairman of the Scout Kwarnas for the 2023-2028 Bakti Period. The former Director of Perum Bulog has been the Chair of Kwarnas Pramuka since 2018.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, as well as ministers, including Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Polhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Purnomo, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo.
