SORONG- The TPI Sorong Class II Immigration Office, Southwest Papua Province, deported a United States citizen with the initials TMM for violating the provisions of the stay permit or overstay limit, Thursday, March 4.

Head of the TPI Class II Immigration Office Sorong Ferdy Maulana in a written statement confirmed to ANTARA in Manokwari, Friday, April 5, said TMM was trying to get out of the territory of the Republic of Indonesia without going through the inspection site.

Information related to the violation of permits by American citizens was obtained from the Foreigner Supervisory Team (Timpora) of the Intelligence and Security Unit of the Kaimana Police, West Papua.

"That there is one foreigner who is trying to leave the territory of Indonesia by pedaling a canoe," he said.

From the observations, Ferdy Maulana, from the observations, Sorong Immigration officers then carried out immigration surveillance and took the foreigner to the detention room of the Sorong Immigration Office.

TMM was then examined, he was proven to have exceeded the stay permit limit and had time to carry out activities that could potentially disrupt public security and order.

"It's overstayed but can't pay the fine," he said.

Ferdy emphasized that the efforts of foreigners to leave the territory of Indonesia illegally violated Article 75 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

Immigration administrative actions applied to TMM are in the form of deportation and are included in the deterrence list.

TMM was dispatched to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport via Domine Eduard Osok Sorong Airport that day using a Batik Air plane.

This deportation was escorted by two Immigration Analysts, First Sorong Immigration Expert Arief Kurnia Aryanto and Rizqi Naufal.

"It will be continued with Japan Airlines at 21:55 WIB to Los Angeles, United States," said Ferdy.
