JABAR - The Cianjur Resort Police (Polres) arrested two suspects with the initials BM and 3 kilograms of LPG (kg) into a 12 kg tube. Both took a profit of IDR 50,000 per tube.

"The injection gas was sold to a number of areas in Cianjur not to leave the city, but we are still developing the case because both have been operating since the past month," said the Police Chief.

He said, in addition to harming residents who need subsidies, the illegal gas injection has the potential to be dangerous because it can trigger fires and disrupt health, especially breathing.

So that his party asked residents to participate in monitoring the distribution of subsidized gas in their respective neighborhoods, immediately report if they find suspicious activities including subsidized gas mixing.

"We hope that residents in all areas in Cianjur participate in maintaining the safety and comfort of the environment where they live, immediately report to the police if they find anything suspicious, including drug trafficking and others," he said.

For their actions, the two suspects were charged with a sentence of six years in prison and a fine of Rp. 60 billion for their actions of eliminating subsidized goods to reap profits by injecting, mixing or transferring gas from a 3 kg subsidized LPG cylinder to a 12 kg Bright tube.
