Singgung Study Tour Becomes Mandatory Before Graduation, Observers Of Strict Rules For The Release Of Important Students

Education observer Ubaid Matraji encourages the government to issue strict rules for the release of students to widyatourism or study tours.

"Yes, obviously there must be strict rules. Don't be like now where the study tour is a mandatory agenda before graduation," he said Sunday, May 12, quoted by Antara.

Ubaid said the government must intervene in regulating this activity considering that apart from burdening students with expensive costs, many schools also apply sanctions if students do not participate in the study tour.

According to Ubaid, education units are better at carrying out various forms of activities in schools that are self-reflection and strengthen interests and talents so that they are more useful than students who have to spend big costs just for a walk.

Moreover, study tours are usually held for student separation events when they graduate so that in fact they need more activities that can provide provision in welcoming higher education.

"I hope the government issues a policy to respond to many student tours and graduation activities at schools that seem to be an obligation. The government should ban this kind of activity," said Ubaid.

Meanwhile, the Daily Executive of the Head of the Cooperation Bureau, and the Public Relations of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Anang Ristanto, stated that his party together with the West Java Provincial Education Office were following up on the bus accident incident in Subang that happened to students of SMK Lingga Kencana Depok.

Anang emphasized that education units must prioritize the safety of students in all forms of learning and the teaching and learning process carried out.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and all the school residents who have been lost and affected by this heartbreaking incident," said Anang.
