JAKARTA - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) dismantled a syndicate of 200 kilograms of marijuana that was to be sent from Aceh to Java last Saturday (2/3).
"The disclosure of narcotics criminal cases in Aceh province with two suspects and 200 kilograms of evidence," said BNN Deputy Eradication Inspector General I Wayan Sugiri as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 2.
Wayan explained that the arrests stemmed from public reports about marijuana delivery activities from Aceh to Java Island.
Based on the report, BNN investigators also conducted a search to an area that was allegedly the location for the cannabis shipment, namely in the Indrapuri area, Aceh Besar, Saturday (2/3).
Not only that, the team has also pocketed one suspect's name, namely MR, who is in charge of delivering the marijuana from Aceh to Java Island.
After arriving at the location, said I Wayan, BNN investigators immediately followed MR who was driving a car while carrying several kilograms of marijuana.
Panic and feeling followed, MR immediately ran away and threw away some sacks of marijuana to eliminate evidence.
"MR fled and entered the forest by throwing evidence on the road and leaving his car on the side of the road," he said.
Not long after, the team finally arrested MR at his residence. Investigators then took MR to the marijuana sack disposal site in the middle of the forest.
"At the disposal site, the team found six sacks of dried marijuana weighing a total of 132 kilograms," said I Wayan.
After that, investigators immediately went to another location in the Indrapuri area which was used by MR as a place to store the remaining marijuana ready to be sent.
From that location, the police finally confiscated tens of kilograms of marijuana ready to be sent to MR. The total confiscated was 200 kilograms.

After everything was revealed, continued I Wayan, MR finally admitted that he was ordered by a prisoner with the initials RF to deliver the marijuana to Java Island.
BNN immediately arrested the inmate with the initials RF at the Rajabasa Correctional Institution (Lapas), Lampung.
"The RF, which has a network, contacted MR with a cell phone to deliver the marijuana," he explained.
