One Person Dies As A Result Of A House In Pasar Minggu On Fire Due To An Electric Short Circuit

JAKARTA - The house on Jalan Kebagusan Raya, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta caught fire. As a result, a man namedOK Agung Dewabrata (59) died.

Head of South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syamsul Huda, confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Saturday, March 30, at 00.45 WIB.

"It's true that the house on Jalan Kebagusan caught fire. One person died," said Syamsul Huda in his statement, Saturday, March 30.

The incident was known to have started when the owner's son was going to the bathroom. At that time he saw a puff of smoke accompanied by flames.

On that basis, the witness shouted for help. The goal is to help extinguish the fire.

Not long after, one of the residents contacted the South Jakarta Damkar. As a result, 20 firefighters and 95 personnel were deployed.

"At 00.53 WIB arrived at the TKP (the crime scene). The blackout started at 00.56 WIB. The beginning of the cooling was at 02.20 WIB. The blackout operation was completed at 03.05 WIB," he said.

Syamsul said the cause of the fire was suspected to be an electrical short in the refrigerator at the house. As a result of this incident, one person died.

"Losses are estimated at up to Rp1 billion," he concluded.
