Prabowo Honors Minister Of Agriculture Amran Successfully Runs Food Self-Sufficiency Program

JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture (Mentan), Andi Amran Sulaiman, received special respect from President Prabowo Subianto in carrying out various work programs, especially in terms of food self-sufficiency.

Amran said, appreciation and respect for the Head of State must be a trigger to increase production and improve the welfare of farmers.

In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture has worked hard to provide assistance to Indonesian farmers.

"This respect is the fruit of the hard work of all of you. We are only a small part of you and mother," he said in a statement, Saturday, March 15, 2025.

However, he advised all ranks under him to continue to strengthen cohesiveness until Indonesia becomes the strongest country in the world and has food security that is able to meet the needs of the community in a sustainable manner.

President Prabowo Subianto paid his respects directly to the Minister of Agriculture and the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan at an event.

Prabowo said Amran is an outstanding minister who is able to run programs well, especially in realizing self-sufficiency in Indonesia.

"I ask the Minister of Agriculture to stand up. Applause. We must recognize his achievements. I respect that you are now the nation's hero," said the President.

As is known, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) estimates that rice production from January to April 2025 is predicted to be 13.95 million tons or the highest in the history of national rice production over the past seven years.

This figure is still a temporary number that can change as data updates in the field.
