Ganjar: We Refuse To Be Taken Back, We Sue To Maintain Citizenship

Presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo, refuses to be brought back to the era before the reformation. Where, democratic values are still limited.

This statement was conveyed by Ganjar, who is a principal of the 2024 presidential election lawsuit in an introductory speech at the inaugural trial of the 2024 presidential election dispute at the Constitutional Court on Wednesday 27 March.

Starting from Ganjar who reminded him to keep the reforms that had been fought for by the predecessors. Because, to get it there is an expensive 'cost' that must be paid.

"Some of us may forget their sacrifices, forget the tears and pain of families who have lost their loved ones," said Ganjar.

Moreover, in the reform era, people's rights can be fully obtained. Unlike before, there are still certain limits.

"Only after reforms can we enjoy the freedom of voicing opinions, only after reforms can we enjoy a more free and open democracy," he said.

"Only after reform all citizens get their right to choose a leader they trust, and, only after reform can we emphasize the rule that the leadership period must be limited," continued Ganjar.

Ganjar also reminded that democratic values can still be tainted by parties who prioritize power and personal interests.

On that basis or reason, it was confirmed that the lawsuit on the results of the 2024 Presidential Election was carried out. Where, the government uses state tools to support and win one of the presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"We refuse to be brought back to a period before reform, we reject betrayal against the spirit of reform," said Ganjar.

The lawsuit was also carried out as a reflection of efforts to maintain democratic values.

"We are suing as a form of our dedication to safeguarding our mandate to keep citizens from desperate for our political heritage," said Ganjar.
