Police Alert 377 Personnel To Guard Today's Constitutional Court Session

JAKARTA - Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Pol. Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said the National Police deployed 377 personnel to secure the preliminary examination of the 2024 Presidential Election Result Dispute (PHPU) case at the Constitutional Court Building (MK). "In handling this, the National Police deployed 377 personnel to secure the Constitutional Court building," Trunoyudo said in Jakarta, Wednesday, March 27.

The one-star police general said that the National Police provided special security for both the object of the building and the judge who tried the case.

This security, he continued, so that the trial runs safely and in an orderly manner.

"During the trial related to elections at the Constitutional Court, the National Police provided special security to the Constitutional Court judges who handled the 2024 General Election case trial," he said.

The former Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya added that the National Police would coordinate with the internal security of the Constitutional Court when the security process was carried out.

"The National Police is also working with the officers at the Constitutional Court office," said Trunoyudo.

The Constitutional Court is handling the PHPU case for the presidential election. Based on the schedule distributed on the official website of the Constitutional Court, Wednesday (27/3), a preliminary examination of the PHPU for the 2024 presidential election will be held which is divided into two sessions.

Case one, namely the application submitted by candidate pair number one Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar with register number 1/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024, will be held at 08.00 WIB-completed.

Meanwhile, case two, namely the application submitted by candidate pair number three Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud Md with register number 2/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024, will be held at 13.00 WIB-completed.

Then, the stages of the trial examination and the submission of the respondent's answer, information from related parties, and a statement were held on Thursday (28/3).

Next is the trial examination stage held on April 1-18, 2024 and the stage of the pronouncement of the verdict or stipulation will be held on April 22, 2023.
