Satpol PP Seizes Hundreds Of Bottles Of Alcohol From Raids In A Number Of Remang Stalls In The Cakung Area

JAKARTA - The Cakung District Satpol PP confiscated hundreds of bottles of local liquor (Miras) of various brands from the results of community disease raids (Pekat) at a number of points in the Cakung area, East Jakarta, Tuesday, March 26, early in the morning.

The confiscation had to be carried out because the alcohol sellers did not have a sales permit. When a raid was carried out, the traders could not provide a strong reason for their business and could not show evidence of a sales license.

East Jakarta Satpol PP PP investigator, Iman Subhan said the alcohol was found from a drink seller shop located not far from Cakung Station.

"We transported unlicensed alcoholic beverages on Jalan station Cakung, we got approximately 179 bottles," Iman told reporters, Tuesday, March 26.

Iman said that during the liquor raid, his party was assisted by joint officers from the TNI, Polri, Satpol PP, BPOM, and Social Service (Dinsos). Apart from confiscation of alcohol, officers also arrested four people with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS).

Furthermore, the four people consisting of street buskers and Mr. Ogah were taken to the Social Service office for guidance.

"We also control that on Jalan Tipar Cakung, we have transported several PMKS," he added.

Not only that, Iman revealed that the raids carried out by 400 joint officers also secured several pills of illegal drugs.

"Yes, for these drugs, together with BPOM, we found that the shop did not have a license to sell, and it turned out that this drug should not be circulating in stalls. We will continue to carry out this raid until the night of the takbiran," he said.
